Hello everyone, my name is Robert Mitchell and with my son Colyn Goins are starting a direct to garment printing company. We are both veterans. I am ARMY and Colyn is NAVY. During this pandemic and job layoffs we decided to go after our dream of starting a company to raise money for our veteran brothers and sisters in need. We kicked around many ideas and here is where we landed. A t-shirt/apparel company where veterans can express their artistic dreams and see their creations come to life. 

Veterans and their families go through many ups and downs dealing with a variety of both mental and physical issues from their time in the service. Since we are not doctors or psychologists we have had to look elsewhere. These challenges also bring financial issues as well.  And BOOM, that is where we are here to help.


After many hours of research we have decided on the Brothers gtx Pro B direct to garment printing machines. The amazing print quality and the ability to print on a variety of apparel items makes this machine a great fit. As you can see from the video the versatility of these machines give us the ability to grow our shop as the demand requires us to grow. Our goal is to start with THREE of these machines and a dryer. Also needed are the accessories to print on all the various apparel items. The gtx Pro B printer prints about 30 to 40 shirts per hour depending on designs and sizes. With three machines we will be able to print 600 shirts a day servicing 150 veterans a month. The average campaign is expected to raise about $1,000 a month (or more) for each veteran using USA made apparel. 

The dtgGear.com is a one stop shop for t-shirt fundraising for veterans. It has the ability to print on t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, shoes, hats, tote bags, and more. We will upload the veterans’ designs to the apparel, or create a design for them to use themselves for promotion of their campaign on social media. We will film the printing and take quality pictures of all items to do advertising campaigns for the apparel at NO COST to the veteran. 

Having the Brothers gtx ProB machines will insure quality and keep the cost low, allowing for repeat customers to help support our veterans in their time of need.

Equipment needed to get started:

Website for campaigns.
DTG Printer.
Printer Accessories Platens kit.
Pretreatment machine.
Heat Press.
Computer with graphics card.
Inventory Blanks.
Shipping materials. 

The cost to get started debt free with one Brother gtx ProB machine and to be able to support 40 veterans a month is $55,000.00. The goal here is for $25,000 to get the financing to get started. The more raised to get the equipment need, the faster the company will be able to grow and support more veterans in need.  The $5,000. is a minimum for the website, heat press and apparel to get started. 

Three complete setups with a dryer and all accessories needed is a total of $150,000. That is what we really need to raise ASAP. Allowing us to provide fundraising campaigns for up to 200 veterans a month. As veterans, we were there to answer the call when our country need us.
